Your favorite red dot sight.

I need to get a R/G type dot sight for close to med range for my PCP .22 pistol for hunting squirrels,rabbits and crows,my max range will be about 25 yds,after that i would use my M-rod or NPXL 1100. I like the Hollograph type because of the loading of pellets in a 2240 type frame.
What do you have and how do you like it Thanks,Paul

i dont know much about red dots what i can tell you though is the dot comes in different sizes the smallest dot you can find might work
the bsa i think rd30 tasco red dot the dot covers the whole target at 25 yds

What type of mounting? There's a whole bunch for weaver style, only a few in dovetail. I just mounted a Hawke with the dovetail on a friend's 800 Magnum. I was really impressed with the quality for the price

I have to use green dot,because the red dot flares or stars up.BSA has a new one out that is Red,Grn and Blue.but i have not heard any reviews on it. I like the Bushnell trophy. The weaver base is no problem,with all the adapters from 11mm to weaver conversion.
I would like to use a scope ,i see alot of pistols out there with rifle scopes but not sure how they use them with such short eye relief,i have a 2x20 millett pistol scope right now but find at times while squirrel hunting ,it take longer to get on target,where a dot site is faster.Any more ideas would be welcome

I've got no first hand experience, but many of the scope manufacturers have long eye relief scopes, and there are a few adapters for scopes which offer the same result. Maybe some of the guys have some first hand knowledge.

Annie has a cheap and when I say cheap I mean it's not worth the $10.00. But she can take the wings off a fly with this cheap piece of *%$#@
It a Daisy red dot for $9.95. She said once you Know how to shoot you can hit anything you want. (That was a dig at me when she said it)
She has it on a 1377 and 10 to 15 yards she don't miss! I hate shooting with her. I won't recommend this red dot and it would most like blow apart on a springer. It does show the potential of a Red Dot for a sight. I'm blind as a bat I need a scope.

I have a NCstar holographic site that I paid $20 for.  On the plus side, it works good, red or green dot (I like green best) and it has variable intensity which is good too.  The holographic site is easy to see.  On the minus side, the dot  is too large for fine work.  If it were on a pistol or moved forward in front of the loading port, the dot size might be OK.
