I'm a leapers man myself, always had trouble finding a scope to hold up to the recoil of a springer, then I bought a leapers 6X compact three years ago, great scope, easy on the pocket, and it still works fine today after untold shots through my B3.

thanks for the input...i am leaning towards the leapers, but thought i would test the water first...btw, i forgot to attach a pic of the venom, but followed with a post "forgot the pics"  check it out, it doesnt look like a venom now...bob

should be the same scope. from what i hear, they are made in the same place, with different names on them. I can't confirm that though, its just what i have heard. I have 2 CP's, a 4-16x40, and that same 3-9 that you are talking about. I have had no problems with either of them. in fact, the 3-9x40, I have sitting on a benji trail, and it has held up just fine. I have always heard a lot from people that swear by the leapers scopes though. If it were me, I would prob go for the leapers....lol

I have one of the centerpoint scopes, and it is a really nice scope for the price.
