Old Simmons Pro hunter scope

I put an old but like new Simmons .22 magnum scope on my Gamo Whisper . Bad Idea! It lasted maybe 8oo shots before the crosshairs broke. should have left it on my Winchester model 9422 mag. So I guess I have a new paper weight. Can they be repaired? I figure it would not be cost effective if it could. I have a Leapers Gen 5 3-9x40 on the way. Anyone have this scope?

It can be repaired but. For next time you need to use springer airgun rated scopes on your shooter (leapers,centerpoint.nikko stirling,bsa,bushnell,leupold,)
