bsa platinum series ao scopes or simmons pro sport ao scopes?

Taking a quick survey ;D

I've got the prosport 4x12 and it's a decent scope for a non recoiling airgun. The gripe i have with the simmons is the extended eye relief, which means you look at the scope rather than filling your whole view with the magnified image, if that makes any sense. The optics themselves are quite clear and the adjustment knobs and AO work well. I've got a feeling the simmons line has a good turret system with accurate positive clicks. Least thats my opinion so far. It's a good scope for the money.
I've been checking out the bsa platinum line as well and think that it's a decent scope for the $60-80.00 i've seen them listed at by natches shooter sports. The one thing that kinda has me concerned about the bsa is that the scopes are reported to "blackout" easily and the turret system is said to be &^^&, according to several reveiws i read, when it's compared to their old line of platinum scopes. Not to say it wouldn't work ok but compared to the old target turrets it's not in the same class. I've been looking around trying to find one of the old series scopes but their seem to be few available. People use them for field trial and tend to hold on to them. Because of this, i'll held off on the new style platinum. II you happen to purchase one, please do a full review on your experience with it. Please ;D J
