Schmidt,You might consider a lighter spring for your G1. Slightly de-tuning your rifle might make it more accurate and easier to shoot. The other option is a nitrogen gas cylinder, but they are expensive and not available for all springers.Cris
I have used white nylon washers from Ace Hardware. I have it fitted on my G1, Sierra Pro & Genesis. It's the right thickness but have to get the ID & OD sized to make it fit. I just chucked it to my drill to reduce the OD and used a rat tail file to enlarge the ID. I lubed it and got no side play at all. I first did that to my older G1 because I can't get it to shoot at the same hole for I notice it had side play that mess up accuracy. It's been 3 years on same washers. The Genesis was straight fit for the washer.
i would send it to ed(shadow)
Hi..lubeing the ID of the tube is a trick...yer can't lube it before yer put thepiston in or yer end up with all the lube in front of the seal...Put moly on the side of the seal and around the rear of the piston..Then what I do is give the piston centre section a light sprayof silicone high tack chain lube..It dosn't take long for it to get thownonto the tube..PS..don't worry about the spring lube..theres some with the guides...Pete
