Do you bring your Air Tanks into the Gun Range?
bareyb:
Has anyone run into a problem bringing their refill Air Tank into a Rifle Range? I'm getting ready to buy one and thought I'd better check before I spend all that dough...
MustangMike:
Best bet is to call ur range or stop by and speak to them about it
I think if they have a issue it could be with something like a bullet bouncing back off a target and happening to hit the tank causing it blow up, go flying off etc....
But I haven't ever heard of anyone having issues bringing a tank to the range. I'm sure you've got at least 2 ranges within driving range.

So far, I have been able to take my tank to the range, but cannot have it near the firing line. Every five minutes I would have one of the range staff asking me what the tank is for. I would rather shoot somewhere else, but in the city you don't have too much of a choice.

Ah nuts. I just called Reed's Range and they said no tanks allowed inside. They said they've never seen one, but they don't want them in there. Ignorant... I asked him if a bullet has ever gone into the shooting area and he said no. It's just knee jerk reaction... Well that's the pits. I guess if we want to use Reed's we'll have to pump by hand or leave the tank in the car. :(

UPDATE: Well I called Reed's Gun Range again and had a more rational discussion with the Manager this time. He said to bring in the tank with documentation saying they are safe from explosion and we'd be all set. Is there any type of documentation with regard to the safety of these tanks? Any links would really help if you have 'em. Thanks. :)
