Benji pump getting sticky.
Bill G:
I have noticed that my pump is getting sticky when I first start to use it. It clears up after 5-6 strokes. Does this mean I need a rebuild? It still pumps to 3500 psi. Do I just put some silicone grease on it to keep from damaging the o-rings? I use it to top off so I only use it to get to 3200 psi and 3500 when doing some experiments.
Any advice welcome I've only had a pump for 11 months and accomplished maybe 100 fills.

I would wipe the shaft clean and then apply some silicone grease, this usually clears this up for me.
MustangMike:
email sun optics and tell them whats going on, the pump has a 1yr warranty. so sun optics will send you out a rebuild kit with all the orings for one rebuild free of charge
Brewerja:
Yup, sounds like time for a rebuild dude. No worries, its easy asuming you have some basic hand tools. You might need a vice or a strong friend with a rubber strap wrench. Good luck and dont be scared to ask us questions about repair. We are here to help!!
Bill G:
Thank you I may need so advice and guidance. The tools I got covered. I have about everything I could need and if I don't, I could make it. I've got stuff from a watch screwdriver to a 4 axis proto trac mill machine.
