Gas-piston Doesn't work

Hatsan break barrel Gas-piston.
When I tried it last there was no resistance when breaking it.
It has only been shout about 60 rounds and that was about 4 years ago.
Does that mean the  piston is shot and replace it or what?

Some folks here have rebuilt them. Special grade o-ring or two, (pure) silicone oil, probe and pump of course.

Maybe drop of silicone oil on shaft worked a couple times would let it seal for a recharge, but could also be short-lived if the failure mode was factory QC related.

On mine they reamed a jagged hole to charge he ram through the receiver so it didn't need compressing to assemble. Sadly, the swarf left behind by that operation ruined the seal.

Disassembly and inspection is probably advisable...

Yes the Vortex air spring has leaked its high pressure air charge. The o-rings inside the air spring have hardened or deformed with age and the air has leaked out. Taking the air spring apart, replacing the o-rings, and adding 125 bar air back into the air spring is IMO more of an advanced project. Unless you already have a high pressure hand pump and a Hatsan sized fill-probe it may be cheaper to buy a replacement Vortex that fits your rifle. There are several Vortex versions designed for specific rifle/pistol models.

I have had a couple Vortex air spring failures but am still a Hatsan fan... just not a fan of the Vortex. I prefer the coil steel spring.

The piston shouldn’t be shot,…just the strut. Call Hatsan or their distributors about their replacement parts and availability. I would advise a spring/ram compressor jig. It is a necessity for my ag journey. Makes life a lot easier and much less stressful. Piston shooter bliss !!!!

Always store the gas spring guns muzzle down. It keeps oil on the seals,so they don't dry out.

Not all gas ram guns are made with the rod forward.........
Seems to me that Crosman NP2 rifles have the opposite configuration...
