Hi!  I've never shot an airgun.  I have shot 9 mm, .357 mag, .44 mag and a 12 G slug. none of those are legal to shoot where I live. I'm looking for an inexpensive gun for small to medium sized varmints.  Raccoons, possibly coyotes as a maximum.  Squirrels at a minimum.  It's OK if they're pureed.  I hope I didn't leave anything out.
