$1,500 - What rifle in .22 would you choose?

The budget is for the gun only, it would be used for target and pests at 50 yards or less.

  So many variables... bullpup option.. Taipan Veteran no questions. Semi-bullpup... Brocock Sniper XR . And for a nice traditional rifle... Probably the Daystate Revere  (less than 1,500 but a mighty fine choice).

  You'll probably get a million different responses but, if I had to make the purchase tonight... these are my easy choices.
 I am not into the FX scene but there are some options in there also.

Really up for anything but true bullpups are low on the list.

Thanks, Hoping to see all kinds of options, there is so much out there.  The semi bullpup is cool with me, but a true bullpup I’m not too sure about.  I shoot .177 tuned TX200 now and looking for a good pcp.

Is Brocock better then FX, I have not heard of them until this thread.  They check all the boxes.

Both make reliable and excellent guns with great support from the dealer /factory. If you like tuning then FX is your route if you want a nice solid gun to just shoot then Brocock.

I just tallied up my 4 PCP’s  …still didnt amount to $1500…..and zero issues….lol..adding the rov/air just a little past….good luck

Got the RovAir also, just not sure what I want to do, I was going to order a Avenge-X but thought maybe I should step it up, as the TX200 was worth it over the Hatsan I started with.

Used RAW HMx, Taipan Vet, RTI Prophet, FX Panthera Hunter, Air Arms S510, Weirhauch HW100, AGT, Daystate Revere & Wolverine. Some of these are in your budget new some used. Probably missed a few....

     The Dreamline is a established Quality FX rifle and is capable of wider versatility then any other currently made air rifle. There are now several FX guns that are capable of greater range but unless you need more accuracy then smacking aerosol paint cans at over 400 yards the Dreamline has you covered. Take the leftover cash and use it for a power plenum or a .30 cal kit.
     Quite a few top shelf distance and precision shooters, people involved in the business at research and development areas and well known airgun commentators own one
themselves. I understand why these folks get a bit stirred up when they hear or see someone refer to the Dreamline as a "cheap" FX.  I can understand their feelings and I agree with them. The traditional Dreamline is quite attractive including the synthetic model. The Wood and Laminate stocks are very handsome altho the Skeleton frame models afford some very nice controls and features not possible in traditional stock models. An example would be the very nice precision hammer spring adjuster, another a Foster fitting for air fills.

How about a cricket carbine mini?
I am looking at a cricket and talking to Charlie at Georgia airguns. Super nice guy and helpful.

He has a cricket mini with his tune on sale for 1550 delivered. I am tempted but want a bullpup and its power level is 28-30 ftlbs.
Id like a bit more power.

But if i didn't want a bullpup and didn't want to shoot past 50 yds id probably look at getting it.

Nice looking, accurate,  quiet im told and good support from Charlie. Also being semi bullpup its not as long as a full on rifle.

Are you looking for primarily a paper perforator or a critter gitter?  Because that will influence the decision based on whether or not you are packing a gun around.  Also, are you looking to stay with .177, or going to a larger caliber like .22-.25 for critter gitter? 

These choices have an impact on size/weight, capacity (bottle vs. tube gun), and maybe even single vs. multishot.
