Multi Infills in Cura

(1/1)

rsterne:
Some of you may be aware of this already, but I discovered an easy way to change the infill in part of your print to a different percentage (or even a different pattern)....

Load your .stl model that you want to print, and then go to "Extensions" and open the "Part for Calibration" menu.... Choose a suitable shape for your reinforcement (eg. a cylinder), click on it, and it will load at the center of the build plate, and the name of the shape will appear in the "Object List" in the lower left.... Click on the object (or it's name in the Object List), and the menu on the left side of the screen will light up.... You can then move it, change the sizes, rotate it, or open the "Per Model Settings", where you can can click on "Select Settings", to open the settings menu.... Tick in the box(es) for the things you want to change, and then click "Close", and you can adjust those settings in the "Per Model Settings"....

For example, if you check "Infill Density", in the Per Model Menu you can set that at any percentage you want, eg. 100%.... When you slice the model(s), the cylinder will have 100% infill, but the rest of the model will be what you selected in the Print Settings Menu....

Play with it, you can do all sorts of amazing things with this simple trick....
