P17 takes another Cotton rat!

I was in the backyard this afternoon and noticed this guy feasting at the feed station.  I made my way to the shed and grabbed the P17 and loaded a pellet in the chamber.  Then slowly made my way to the gate leading out back.  He didn't seem to have a care in the world and paid no attention to me at all!  I was anle to slowly make my way to about 10 yards when he looked up!  I froze and let him go back to chowing down and slowly raised the P17 to eye level, lined up the shot and squeezed off a round!  BAM!  A gut shot, but it was fatal!  Closer inspection revealed he was missing a hind foot  Makes me wonder if we may have previously met!

Just a single shot, single pump .177 pistol!  Beeman P17, back at the end of 2019 Amazon was selling them for $7.50 each!  They want $49 for them today!    Talk about out of control inflation!  LOL!  I bought a couple of them back when they were so cheap.  I keep on in the house and the other in the shed, just for these type of occasions!
