I've been slowly making progress in working the kinks out of this ugly little contraption.  This morning I topped off to 3000psi and shot these 2 groups.  First shot of the morning and fill was the first shot of the group above the center bull.  No shots were burned after the fill, just to test the tune and balanced valve for stiction.   

Center bull was first group of 5, dialed 3 clicks down and shot the lower left group.



I would say the tune isn't influenced much by first shot stiction.

Altaros ATP Smooth 49.5gr @850fps.  700mm STX Superior Heavy liner layered in CF tubing up to 19mm.  Reg'd at 1800psi.

I have been eiring one round just to verify. I have a stash of ammo that I only shoot for that, not my weighed ammo. It lets me check my position and trigger control as well as the guns performance. If that first shot is off and the next 4 are touching your group will be very disappointing

Understood and agreed.  Each tune has its compromises....It all boils down to what the goal is.  At this time for me first shot predictability is heavily weighted.
