Okay, so I was given a Vortex Crossfire II 6-18x44, as mentioned by my other post. I didn't realize, however, that the reticle isn't actually a Mil-Dot reticle, but is their own proprietary Bullet Drop Compensating reticle. This isn't really desirable for me because I like to zero out to about 45 yards and use Mil Dots for hold-under for shots that are closer. From what I have seen on eBay the Vortex is worth about $200, not counting their fees. So I'm looking for something I can sell the Vortex and buy with the profit.
I don't really have extremely high standards, but I'm about as blind as a bat, so I want something with at least 16x magnification. I have a CenterPoint 4-16x40 on one rifle that had served me really well, but they're only about $100 so I'm thinking maybe I could get something a little nicer. Something with a Side Wheel Adjustment for the objective would be great, but the most important part to me is:
Something that will hold up to "magnum" springer (not sure if my Beeman Silver Kodiak counts as that, but I know it's kind of up there)
Something with generic Mil Dots
Something with at least 16x magnification
Normally I would just grab a Leapers or UTG, but it's been a long time since I bought a scope and I'm not sure what other options are out there now days, if those are still good options, etc.

Look up Vector Optics. For the money not bad.
Spend more, get more.
FWIW- $300 scopes 3 years ago are now $450 scopes.
$200 are now $300+.
Or look in the classifieds...

Look at
www.Dvor.com
it’s a sister company of Optics Planet. A lot of people here shop from there. You can find excellent deals on scopes at deep discounts. I’m talking Vortex, Hawke, Sightron…….just picked up a 4-16x44 Hawke Vantage with 1/2 Mildot for $250 shipped. That’s one example. It’s a totally legitimate website. I was skeptical at first but figured people here shop on it and it has good ratings online. Now I don’t shop anywhere else for scopes. You just have to wait a bit for them to list the scope you’re looking for if it’s not listed.
