Sportsmans Warehouse - 117cal Stoeger S300-C - $74.95 - Free Shipping
A.K.A. Tommy Boy:
I just picked this rifle up yesterday. Sportmans Warehouse has a sale on them.
You can get additional discounts on them.
Here is how I got an additional 25% off of the advertised sale price.
I checked the rifle out on line and gave them my e-mail address.
They sent me a one time, new member, 15% discount code.
I found an additional 10% promo code to use.
I used the 15% discount for an online purchase and and did in store pick up.
I went to the store to pickup the rifle and the manager let me apply the 10% promo code to the purchase too.
The price was $60.18 ($56.25 + sales tax.)
You can get a $50 discount if you apply for their credit card.
I shot the gun twice last night and it was pretty quiet.
This rifle has a spring power plant.
It did not shoot like a spring rifle, it shot more like a gas ram rifle.
Not much recoil and no spring buzz.
The rifle weighs 5.8 pounds with out a scope.
I did a quick look-over and did not see any type trigger adjustment screw.
The trigger pull was not too bad though.
From what I could find out in researching this rifle, it shoots a 7.4 gr pellet at or around 630 to 645 feet per second.
The rifle feels solid to me and there was no hollow sound coming from the rifle stock.
The rifle handles nicely and points well.
The fiber optic open sights are a lot smaller than the ones on my Hatsan Edge and Striker.
I don't think that the front fiber optic sight would obscure the target much should one choose to use them and not mount a scope.
I bought this rifle to use as a light weight, short range, garden gun.
I have not been able to test the accuracy yet.
I read several reviews and watched some u-tube videos before I bought it.
From what I read and saw, the accuracy in them seemed ok.
I had original been looking at a Hatsan Air-Tact refurbished rifle.
They were selling for $50 but have not been in stock for quite a while.
With shipping cost added the Refurb Air-Tact would have been around the same cost.
By doing an in-store pick-up and was able to handle & look this rifle over before I bought it.
This is all I know about this rifle so far.
Best Wishes - Tom

A.K.A. Tommy Boy:
I was busy all day today but I managed to sight this gun in.
Once I got the scope dialed in I was able to put 7 shots in a dime sized area.
The trigger was a little stiff to start out with.
I sprayed the trigger assembly with a moly based bicycle chain lube and that really improved the trigger pull.
I was shooting crosman destroyers today.
Here is a picture of the sight in.
The distance to the target was 20 yards.
I was shooting seated with the rifle braced on an upright door frame.
My last shots were the ones in the center of the target.
For a real cheap rifle. it is reasonably accurate.

A.K.A. Tommy Boy:
Here is what my rifle looks like.
The cocking force is real easy at around 19 to 20 pounds.
The weight on my rifle with this CV-Life 4x32 mil dot scope mounted on it is 6 1/2 pounds.
The trigger is metal and not plastic, it is breaking clean and predictable at around 2 1/2 pounds.
I my best guess is the maximum effective pesting range would be 25 yards or so.
It comes in at 8 inches shorter than my 22cal Walther Talon Magnum ( Hatsan 125) at 40 3/4 inches long.
I am 5'10 with long arms, this rifle fits my frame well.
The second picture is the 15 shot sight-in with the open sights.
I was shooting off-hand and the target was placed at 15 yards.
The pellets were 117cal Crosman 7.4gr. Destroyers.

Seems like a sweet shooting gun Tom, I think SPA makes them for Stoeger, I have been very satisfied with my SPA PCP and CO2 guns. 8)

Hi James.
I like this rifle.
It fits a power vacuum that I had.
It is a cheap alternative to an HW 30....albeit... with out all the really nice refinements that an HW 30 has.
It is good enough for me and it fits my budget.
Best Wishes - Tom
