Is Mac1 still in business ?  I placed an order on 3 June and it has not shipped.  Three emails, no answer.  I hope they are all right.  I have purchased many things from them over the years.

Hey Tom, just called Tim today in regards to a May 3rd order I placed for an LD pistol. He is still in business and very busy from the sounds of it. What did you order of you don't mind my asking, I may know a thing or two about the hold up.

Tim will get it to you, he must be really busy if he isn't answering calls. He is a great guy though and I have no doubts that he will get you taken care of.

Ah, I know the barrels for the mark 1 LD guns were due back from the machine shop yesterday, so perhaps all his barrels went out together and came back together. He seems to do batch work.

The ad states "quantity in stock: 8".  It should have been ready to ship immediately.  Also, there is no good reason for not answering my email.  I did not call his phone number.  My disabilities make it difficult for me to communicate on the phone.

Thanks for your input.  I purchased the barrel from him because I thought it would be the best.  I had no idea that it would be this much trouble.

You're welcome, for what it's worth I have 2 barrels from him for my 1322s, they are very accurate. Bummer about the delay though.

He finally answered my email.  Gave me a huge ranting excuse and said he would resolve this by a certain date.  He failed to resolve it and two weeks after the date I filed a dispute and got a refund.  I bought a large number of things from him in the past, but I will not trust him in the future.

My experience with Mac1 in the last couple of years has been similar. I ordered an LD barrel setup for my Mk1 in 2022, and have not received it yet. I had also sent him the required part from my Mk1 so he could machine it to fit.  Then I foolishly placed another order, this time for the LD 600 barrel.. Same result. I have spoken with him twice in the past year and a half and I keep getting told he has problems with his suppliers, and that he has been recuperating from an accident. But he does not answer my emails.
Its too bad, but I guess I am just a sucker; I lost two hundred bucks on orders I placed with Alliance Hobby and never received.

I have called him on 2 different occasions asking about the cost of some specific work. I was left with the impression that he felt like I was insignificant and wasting his time with my questions. I won't bother him again.

Yes, he gave me the impression that his personal problems were much more important to him than fulfilling his obligations as a vendor.

I really like the "secret sauce"  good thing I have a lifetime supply of it.  I would never buy anything from him again.

I have no knowledge about any recent issues at Mac1.  But have bought stuff from him over the years and, yes, sometimes takes a while, but he has always come through, right away or after some time.  On the phone, you might get helpful Tim or as-hole Tim, don’t know why you get which.  But no way is he trying to scam anybody.

Yeah, still waiting for the mark 1 LD I ordered back in May and was told in June it would be shipped by July. . . . I'm in no hurry if it's done right, but to give misleading lead times, Tim has been at this for so long I think he knows how long it takes vs what he claims it takes.

It’s a shame all the dissension with Timmy Mac. I’ve always had good experiences with Tim. He can be moody, but all in all, I think he’s a good guy. He definitely know his way around airguns. Hopefully, things improve.

One thing to know about the customer service business..
If a customer has a good experience they may tell a few people.
If a customer has a bad experience they will tell everyone that will listen.

Consider the threads on here about USPS/FedEx/UPS. These threads are always started because someone had a bad experience. See if you can find a thread that was started because someone was singing their praise. You may get lucky.
Folks that have good things to say are only saying it in response.
As a matter of fact... consider how this thread began..
