Scope reccomendations for sons daisy 880
Bladebum:
I have a 6 y.o. son who keeps "out growing" his equipment. I bought him a crosman 760 and put the crosman 4 power "straw" scope on it. He quickly started shooting well past the effective accuracy and power range of that gun, so I upgraded to the daisy 880 with the same supplied scope. The gun is a great upgrade in power and accuracy for pest shooting and he has taken countless sparrows, handful of starlings and two ground squirrels already. I really want to put a better scope on it, but I want something as light as possible, under $100 and objective no bigger than 32mm. So what are your guys reccomendations? Thanks!
BanjomanMI76:
When I was searching for an upgrade from "the straw" it was suggested to me on this forum to look at/purchase the Winchester 4x32 AO scope which is made by Daisy. It fits within your budget parameter.
I still have one mounted to my Daisy 880 Shadow and it has helped me dispatch many squirrels and HOSPs.
Back_Roads:
Here is a great little scope Has AO down to 10 yards and mildots.

I remember my first upgrade from the 4x15 -- parted with my saved up money for a Tasco 3-7x20. I thought that was so cool. Nowadays, though, I'd probably go with a chineseium 3-9x32 or 40 for $50 ish. A LOT more scope for essentially the same cost-adjusted dollars. One more thing to adjust, but probably a good idea to get one with AO. I've had good luck with CV Life and Hatsan and Pinty. Watch the weights, though, some chinese scopes are built like tanks! I haven't used these exact scopes, but they're probably fine:
