Couple days ago i took the stock 4x32mm scope off of the GWW and mounted a H3-9x32mmAOMD. Took a few shots to get sighted in with 10.5gr CPUM, pellets hit right where i aim at 15yards, move target back to right past 30 to check where hits are. Next i took the GSW10x.22 and mounted the UTGH4x32mmMD. Both scopes have 2 shims in the rear ring. Puts the elevation nearly righton in some cases. 1st shot .5 high and .25 right. Wow very close. After a couple shots the HNFTT14.6gr were hole in hole at 15yard. Great, trigger is good and doesnt need to be adjusted. I only find 1 " Problem" with the GSW10x,, how to clean the barrel with the loading assembly in the way..

Sometime ago, I removed the action from the stock on the GVarmint.177. I then placed a layer of Vinyl Electric Tape down the entire length of the compression tube starting at the front and lined up with the slot for the cocking arm.
I then took two no.8 washers, opened the holes to 13/64. Then with a Dremel 3000 with rpm set half way i shaped the washers to be narrower on 2 sides then remove some of a 3rd side. This allows them to fit in the stock screw holes, having removed the teethed washers before beginning. Placed the action in the stock, Blue Threadlock on the screws, modified no.8 washers on. Tighten the stock screws then trim off the Electric tape from the action.
Gorilla Camo Tape on the stock and action, behind the Cocking Arm Slot this just may absorb some Vibration along with the Tape that runs along the action between the stock. Now for the Barrel, starting from the rear, 4, 5, 4, 4 rounds plus 3rounds on top of 5 and 4. This creates a 4,5,8,7,4,4 Gtape round setup. In a few several years the tape would fade and become worn, but easy to clean and replace when needed.
With a Valiant4x32mmAOMDIR, the pellet used to sight in, CPHP 7.9gr, this time around HN FTT 8.6gr 4.52mm. At 15yards the HN was close and just needed a few clicks to get on.
I find the trigger on this AG to be good and didnt need to be adjusted. Has travel and a wall that breaks, the way i like. Without the GV pulled into shoulder, At the shot, the GVarmint moves forward and has a small torque to the left. Having the stock firm in shoulder and firm pistolgrip, forehand soft hold and no pulling gives good results and limits the forward motion. It has some recoil, being this light recoil is the price to pay for each shot. There is still a bunch of recoil during the shot, what matters is the pellet hits where i aim.
GSW10x .22, replaced the teethed washers with modified no.8 washers along with blue loctite on the stock screws.
The Airgun comes with 1 ten shot magazine, I have 5 magazines. 4 were ordered from am azon for $13-$14ea.
The loading assembly lifts out of the way to clean the barrel. The UTG Hunter 4x32mmMD with the original mount sits about 2.1" above the pellet. First sight in was at 15 yards. I changed sight in to 17yards, this gives a rehit at 35yards with around .25" high half way between. Ok enough from Me... fornow.

Very interesting report on the Gamo. I looked at one in New Zealand and thought it was too expensive. Your report makes me think again Nice classic looking rifle.

Novagun,
Thankyou for your reply. This post covers 3 Airguns< GWildcat Whisper .177, GVarmint .177, and the GSwarm Whisper10x .22.
All 3 are Very lightweight listed at 5.6lbs without scope. Theyr rather new and have done what i like, which is to hit what im aiming at at a given distance. Ive had good luck in finding pellets that the three Gs are grouping very good with. There are other pellets to try but for now its good as theyr setup to hit.
Which model are you thinking of there in NZ? If i may ask Novagun. ExcellentworkStayAlert

I recieved my Gamo Rocket .22 IGT today. It included Gamo Match 15.4gr pellets and Paper targets with scoring rings. Good consistent shaped pellets. No malformed or damaged skirts.
It was -11F' so i only got 5 shots through it. Took 3 shots with the open sights at 15yards to get on, next 2 shots were touching. SUPER Light,, feels rather compact even if its around 45"OAL.
GR.22 has an Adjustable trigger, and has a wall that breaks just as i like. Whenever the weather warms ill resight to setup possibly 10-11<-> 30-32 yards sightin <-> rehit. I havent run Chairgun numbers but Should have a flight path somewhere in that range with open sights. The open sights are nice and appear to be the most precise shaped of the Open sights i have on others. The Muzzle is Compensator/ Stripper type, not a baffled LDC Type.
I mounted the included G4x32mm Long scope, with good target turn turrets, easier to adjust than the coin turn turrets. Clean view compared to some other Package Scopes. The Rings that come with the AG have a good stop pin that fits and rings sit straight without any cant to the side.
If your rings are low enough and you have open sights, you can Presight by moving far back on the stock from the scope and aligning scope with turrets to the opensights, this will get the scope very close to sightin but will need initial and rehit sightin. I removed the scope for a Later time. Open sights are soo good it most likely will send most shots unscoped.
At a later time i might look for a Mildot AO to ride on/off this GR.22. Soooo light even with the scope on.
At the moment, a few of my Airguns that have open sights and are used during cold have the scope removed, most will be remounted by Springtime.
HundoBuck Airgun, might be the best Hundo ive spent. IMightJustDoItAgain..as long as I pull that Airgun into my shoulder, and with its right pellet pellets itll hit, hit and hit where im aiming. < shooting with loose hold < like to shooting with a mounting screw or two loose, when that Airgun in your shoulder it becomes a part of you, IMOXD

Ok. Having shot these G amos through the winter and spring, GVarmint has the most shots in around 300+ no longer smoking. Recoil at the shot has calmed down alot since being new. Has a Hammers 3-9x32mm AO MD<set on 4.5x> with original Gamo Rings. Gamos package rings are the best that come with AGs that ive seen. They mount straight, the tape is done good not sloppy like alot of othe package included rings.
GVarmint with HNFTT8.7gr 4.52mm

High 843fps

GWW .177
Has around 200 shots in, still some smoke not alot. Hammers 3-9x32mm AO MD <4.5x>.
HNFTT 8.7gr 4.52mm

GSWW10x .22
200 shots in, some smoke left not alot.
Made 58 and 54 yard shots this spring on small feathers. Dropped 1 large feathers at 20yards< attempting to flee, after being dropped from the sky< shotgun>. It had a UTGHunter 4x32mmAOMD, changed to a Barska 2-7x32mmAOMD. Adding a drop of silicone oil on the magazine oring < Pellet retaining band> makes loading smooth, with use loading the magazines smoothes out. After breaking the barrel to load a pellet, once in awhile i would lift the magazine assembly to examine the skirt of the loaded pellet. New mags seemed to bend the skirts some. Adding a drop of silicone oil and use, the mags no longer misload. Yet to run through chrono.
GRocket .22
I liked this one Alot, but i no longer own this one. Before leaving i used it to drop 3 large feathers that fell from the sky< Shotgun> and attempted to get up and flee. 2 around 25yards and 1 at 30 yards, 1 shot to the back < Heart/Lungs theyd fall over and expire in a short time. Has good knock on impact, didnt get to chrono it. I may get to chrono run it, if i ask the new owner.
Sellers remorse < -
Result < -
GWW .22
100 shots in. Smoking calm down quick. Not much smoking left.
Will run through chrono after more shots are run through.
H2-7x32mm AOMD
These are among the lightest weight breakbarrels with a scope on, quick to break in and calm down on shot action and smoking. All have very well done breech taper for good loading of pellets and good tapered crowns. Also looking through each barrel, shape is clean without imperfections ive come across in others in the price range. Barrel lockup is smoothe and not rough like some others. Only complaint would be the star washers <stockeaters>, and the plasticy 4x32mmscope, the longer 4x32mm aluminum tube G scope is good, clear view and holds poi even on rough shots < New AG, all shots before 50 - 100 shots.
The Whisper muzzle does cut down on some sound. All triggers have been adjusted Out to add travel.

GWildcatWhisper .22
Barska2-7x32mm AOMD
Tall Atom Mount
Changed the stock washers to modified # 8 washers. Applied Blue locktight on Stock screws. Left the trigger adjustment screw alone. Has short travel, not heavy.
Having tried two loose hold shots, both hit high left. When shot with the Stock planted firmly i get very good hits. Today with the GWW.22 I dropped Large feathers at 30 yards.
Chrono Run at >250 shots in. Little to no smoke after the shot.

WildcatWhisper .177
Hammers 3-9x32mm AO MD
Currently setup with HN FTT 8.7gr 4.52mm. Alot of my 177 breakbarrels do very very good w HN FTT 8.7gr 4.52mm. I have Alot of CPUM 10.5gr, a few of my Multipump AGs are setup with these pellets.
I shot the Chrono Run, then checked to see where the pellets are hitting compared to HNFTT < 880FPS, 15FPE. At 30 yards the CPUM 10.5gr hit 1"+ low and a hairball to the right. I didnt change my scope settings and kept the FTT sightin.
