1st Daisy 880, was given to me needing cleanup and an o-ring. With the tape mod it was hitting bottle caps at 35 yards. Wish I still had it.

If I hadn't been so lazy to work on a couple other acquisitions (mostly bought new) I'd probably have others to list, but I'm starting to get in gear and work on them a bit at a time. 2nd fav at the moment is a Crossman 1377 grabbed on clearance at WallyWorld. Had to elongate the slot in the rear sight to get it sighted in and still need to make the peep bigger as she needs good lighting, but both these will do their part if I do mine.

I rethink this through often, and right now, "my" Go-To is my 1322 rear-cocker, AKA Crosman Medalist.  It was given to me several years ago and has been punching WAY above its weight out to 40 yards.  My wife has pulled off some mind-blowing shots with it when we plink on our property.  I say "my" because she grabs it before I do, so I end up "stuck" with my CO2 2400KT. 

The simple fact (and food for thought) that the airguns we reach for most often are some inexpensive Crosman airguns despite owning Russian, Korean, and Chinese PCPs, all of which shoot exceptionally well?

As I'm out back thinning the trees to get some daylight in and get some ground cover growing and have to be mindful. It's rattlesnake season around here. Today my cheap gun of choice is the .177 MrodAir C02 Plinkster with open sights. I get several 9 shot mags per C02 and ,as long as I keep the gun in the shade, the C02 has plenty of power to de-bite these trespassing belly crawlers.

You're doing that kind of stuff in this Heat.... you are a Gluten for punishment, best keep a couple gallons of cold water near by or some Gatorade, you don't want heat stroke....

Yeah, I'm taking precautions. Getting out just past sunrise, working in 30 minute sessions and drinking lots of water. I was going to wait for cooler weather but I just can't bring myself to waste my retirement years in a recliner. No telling when I may be forced into that scenario.
It probably sounds like it's more work than it is. We work at our own pace without deadlines to finish.... no pressure.
That first session this morning between 6:30 and 7am was actually quite comfortable. But, with every tree we remove we let more sunlight in and it gets hotter earlier.

That chaser impresses more than any other I've seen, but I do not follow the chasers much [chuckling]

All of my guns were relatively cheap, I guess the 1377 was my favorite because it was the first I bought and modded into a carbine.

For CO2, Diana Chaser. Gets a lot out of a single cylinder, easy to mount an optic, runs wonderfully with CARM mags. Not everyone likes the 'pistol to a carbine' kits but it's just too good not to try, either as a pistol or a rifle. Whisper quiet. If this doesn't make you feel like James Bond, nothing will.

For a pumper, Crosman 362. You can put as much in upgrades as it costs, but at $120 that's not much. And so far I've done zero upgrades to mine. Sight adjustment is crude but a dab of white on the front sight and it's very useable. Strong, and hits hard with just three pumps, good back yard plinker.

For BB fun, Umarex Brodax revolver and ASG TAC 4.5 carbine are good CO2 options. In single action the Brodax has a surprisingly light trigger. The TAC carbine isn't super accurate or has a soectacular trigger but comes with decent sights and has a full optic rail, and gets a LOT of shots out of a single 12g cylinder.

For a paper puncher, the CMP refurb Avanti target rifles are probably still the best value going!

"Cheap" is a relative term.  IMO a truly "cheap" air rifle ought to cost less than twenty five bucks.  Just shows how old I am.

I've had a Crosman 362 for several months now.  Acquired it second hand.  It came with a Baker aluminum breech and it was still less than retail.

These days I'd call that cheap.  It is sufficiently accurate with a variety of pellets to hunt with, easy to pump, handy, and it makes reasonable power.

So until the next brown box shows up on my doorstep the 362 is my (current) favorite (cheap) air rifle.

Hatsan flash refurb for $136 with a svbony $8 scope. Less than $150 total for a scoped pcp pushing 15.89 jab at 1066fps. Pretty cheap I think, it's light and accurate too! On the down side it's home made ugly lol

The arrow looks good to me, but haven't shot one yet. Reportedly has bsa valve and stock quality like the urban.
