Backyard "practice" with a scoped 10 meter rifle?

Always adjust your scope so the center is at the apex of the pellet's path.   For 12 ft lb .177, that is about 27 yards depending on scope height.   For your Daisy, it will probably be closer.   That way you hold over for both closer and further targets.  On my HW 97, the hold is the same for 10 and 46 yards.    18 to 30 yards is the "flat" center with no clicks or holdover.
