i have a 177 cal slavia, it has a grey plastic stock with red cheek pc and red tabs on the side of the forend, trying to figure the model

Sounds like a model 634.
It should be marked.

Look on the top of the compression tube at the forward end of the scope dovetails.

 i will have to take off the scope and see what model it is, i hate to take it off now it is shooting excellent, are these rifle available anywhere these days

100% sure that it is the 634, that is the only model that has been made with (colorful, red or blue) synthetic stocks.

I have a Slavia CZ631 and two 634's in blue and black stocks. Good guns, tac drivers.

The 634's were made with blue and black and red and black stocks. Some guys painted them different colors or cammy, etc.

Slavia sold the air gun part or 634 part of their business to another company a few years ago. That company is making the guns, even with wood stocks again, but I haven't seen a U.S. vendor who sales them.

Can't remember the company name. Seems it starts with a "P".

 Česká Zbrojovka (CZ) in Czechia made the Slavia series - 630, 631, and 634.  Production was sold to ZVS Ltd.  in Slovakia, where they continue to be made with the Perun model name.  The Slavia 631 became the Perun 731, and the Slavia 634 became the Perun 734.  I believe triggerfest is right about the colored stocks being Slavia guns.

My Slavia 631 is solid, smooth, not hold sensitive, and very accurate.  It only shoots about 600 FPS in .177, which may be the reason why the Slavia line never caught the interest of the U.S. market.  For paper punching in the basement it's my favorite.  The 634 manual rates it a little faster at 720 FPS in .177.

 i started shooting this slavia for the first time in 4 or 5 years, after shooting the air arms diabolo field heavy 10.3 gr they average 652 fps accuracy is great

jsb exact rs 7.33 at 800 fps accuracy about one hole the best of the 3 pellets

then i tried the jsb exact diabolo 8.44 gr they average 735 accuracy not quite as good as the above pellet.
these were shot at 15yds. if one had to choose which would be the flatter at 30 yds

The 634's seem more powerful. When I cock my 631 there's a little free travel before it's against the spring.
But when I start cocking my two 634's they're against the springs immediately.

The 631 spring doesn't have much preload.  You can disassemble without a spring compressor.

The flattest shooting should be the lightest and the fastest. Sometimes lighter pellets will be a little slower than heavier pellets they fit tighter because of slightly bigger diameter.
