Having just a couple JSAR pre-drilled poppet stems left in my stash, Made up a custom Balanced valve following my previous inverted chamber architecture.

This .22 MAX has been slightly modified previously having the valve seats throat reamed to .250" I.D and exit port matched to the .215" transfer path.  So it breaths very well downstream from valve !!
Poppet head which also has the balance chamber portion was machined from PEEK having an O.D. of .320" and chamber diameter of @ .200" which left us with @ .063" wall thickness. 
* Have made several to this specification having used them now for over a year w/o any signs of crush or collapse issues.
Venting threw poppet head was kept rather small at @ .042", which can be made larger is finding the need for a faster closing speed ???   Using the Very light OEM hammer and OEM spring within an SSG the mass & momentum of opening valve is already really low and valve appears to be slamming closed fast enough. Muzzle report a stick snapping CRACK !

Played with regulator set point up/down from @ 100 to 140 bar finding @ 120 bar to be a good sweet spot being barrels @ 17" length and only 200cc of air to play with  ::) 

RESULTS AS SET ....

JSB Hades 15.9 = 980 fps @ 33.9 fpe
JSB Heavy 18.1 = 935 fps @ 35.13 fpe
NSA Slug 20.2 = 875 fps @ 34.33 fpe

With OEM spring it cocks 1 finger easy and trigger sears have minimal load on them ... Now we just shoot it and see how it holds up, see if we get any valve sticking etc ... It's accuracy is already proven !!

No pics ... Those who know how these Balanced valve look  ... nothing special here, just purpose built.

Is there a thread with pictures and diagrams of this valve and poppet mod?
Or could you make a rough drawing?
I love tinkering with these things but don't have a lathe so I'd have to submit plans to a shop....thanks Scott.

Issue ... sadly my stash of JSAR .125" predrilled valve stems that I had a few of are now exhausted.

Was a Great couple years of balanced valve R&D, that ship has sailed unfortunately.
