True but the 22xx/13xx grip frame is not exactly close tolerance.
I even advise the applicator to spray the threaded holes.
The powdercoat would actually work to your favor.
Never had a problem with my powdercoated grip frames.

Hi John, I never had luck trying to blue potmetal parts. However I found bake-on VHT paint does a pretty good job:

I've used the satin black caliper paint on a 2240 grip frame with nice results, but it can chip if you drop the part (don't ask how I know :P). You can bake the paint at home, but make sure the wife is away for a while and vent the area!
