How can I get a .22 cal in Illinois

I'm just wondering if there's a way to get a .22 cal air rifle shipped to IL?  PA and many other on line retailers say they won’t ship to IL because it’s supposed to be Illegal.  I have a FOID but not sure if its still Illegal.  Any advise would be good.

You have to go to a bass pro shop or other retailer that will hold the gun for a fee. They would do a background check and accept the gun from PA and then after a waiting period release the gun to you. Generally costs around $30-$50 extra. You might be better off seeing if they will order the gun for you or going to GAT guns in Dundee. They have a great selection.

air gun depot ships to me in illinois and if you are close to walmart in indiana they sell them off the shelfs just not in ILLinois,im only about an hour from terre haute indiana and i go there to get mine at times.

Thanks for the reply.  I did order a Trail NP 22 cal from Walmart on-line and they shipped it with no issue.

About a week ago I went to Gat Guns and I'd have to say its a pretty awesome gun shop.  All so I was surprised how much they knew about air guns.  The clerks name was Tim.  Very Knowledgeable.   Plus there were other customers there that were all so into air guns.  Very cool.
