SGTCPabon:
Just so all you guys know, I'm really, really new here. In fact, I'm new to the sport all together.  I only have one air gun, a Daisy 990 dual power that's up for trade in the classifieds so hopefully I can get a decent rifle and do some shooting. Can't afford to go out and buy one as I'm on workers comp, and they're hardly paying me enough to live. I am going to do whatever I can to get a nice decent rifle though. OK sorry, back to topic.

Being broken and waiting for surgery, I have nothing but time. I can't do much, so.I watch sportscenter and troll the internet. From the time I registered on This site a few hours ago, I have Been doing nothing but reading on here. I've laughed out loud more times than I can count and I'm really enjoying this. It seems alotnof you have known each other for a long time and you are genuine friends. A lot of you guys remind me of the guys I've served with, some that came home, and some that didn't. Not to.be corny or cheesy or anything but just reading, you can almost feel the "brotherhood" element that all you guys share, Just like the military.  I cannot wait to be able to scratch together enough money (or hopefully get a bite on the Daisy), get a decent rifle, and become another "real" contributor to This forum.  Its gonna take me a while to save up enough to get even an "OK" rifle, probably 2 or so months,  but I'm gonna do what I can. Until then, I'll keep posting random comments, questions, and cheesy, cliche statements about brotherhood!!

WELCOME to the GTA Sgt. Pabon, Chris :)

The GTA is one BIG AirGun Family, and many of us have also served our Country !

Thank YOU for YOUR Contribution to the United States of America !

So now that you have become a member here, you are now part of that family !

Just what air gun would you like to get ?

Bill

ezman604:
Hey Chris, welcome to the family. We are a bunch of airgun addicts that gather to shoot the breeze and swap info (or critisizms) on guns, life, politics or whatever. :)
A lot of us are either former, present or retired military and law enforcement. But, we all share a common bond, the love of the sport of airgunning. Sounds like you will fit right in for several reasons. Glad you found us and joined up.
Hang in there, you'll find a gun you like soon. There's lots of great folks here that will help you with advice and other things. I hope you get fixed up physically very soon and get involved in this addicting sport. Thank you for your service to our country!!!!
Post often and post pictures of your airgun adventures.
Happy Shooting!!!!

Thanks for the Welcome sir! All of you guys are so friendly.  After I posted my first comment before, there were 4 or 5 people saying hello, its unbelievable.  Long story short, got out of the military,  some guy ran a stop sign, nailed me, my.disc exploded in my back, workers Comp just pays enough for rent and bills, can't afford to go.to my "happy place" (rifle range) where I totally stop thinking about all the bad things that have happened and the PTSD &^^&, the only place where I'm happy. Shot a friends Gamo Whisper in 22 the other day and it made me feel the same

way. Behind the trigger is the only place where
Nothing bothers me. Its literally gonna take me
months to save up every extra dollar I can to.get
that, or a CFX or a Socom Tactical or something,
but I need to.do that. Sitting at home for the last
11 months doing nothing while my lawyers are
fighting workers comp to authorize a surgery I
need is driving me crazy! Like I said, I have that Daisy up for.trade but who knows what's gonna happen. Sitting on top of my Humvee behind my ma deuce I couldn't wait to get home and everything would be cool.....man was I wrong.. its alright though, I'm a combat troop, and I've gotten through worse, just gonna take forever to get what I want. Yea, long story short my butt,
sorry pal, once I get going its hard to stop me,
unless you have a hammer....

Hopefully I can get something soon and become part of all you guys, start having my own stories,  stop talking about being broken, start talking about tiny.groupings at 40 yards.....wish me luck!!!
