At the risk of losing some of the GTA member's, I wholeheartedly agree with him... First off, let me start by saying that I love my Country with all my being. If that were not so,I would not be an honorably discharged Army Vet. If that were not so, tears would not well up in my eyes whenever I hear the star spangled banner...It reminds me of a dress parade we had in West Berlin, Germany when I was with the 6th Battalion, 502nd INF....What a day!...
I know that some of you disagree with how he is protesting but, I believe this is the only way anyone could have gotten national attention polarized on the brutal slayings by a handful of dirty cops....
For those of you who disagree:
1) Have you ever sat around wondering if the next police car video you see will be your Father being shot to death for no apparent reason other than being black?
2) Have you ever thought the same about your Brother's or your best friends?
3) Have you ever gotten into your vehicle and fear overtakes you and, had second thoughts about driving to the grocery store because you may be stopped by police and shot down?
Well, I have and let me tell you, it is the worst feeling ever. It feels like me and my race are targeted for extinction by any means necessary by the "Justice" system. When I say me and my race I mean black males not females.
It is no doubt unfortunate that America in this day and age still has this kind of racism toward a people.
Nothing was being done about the situation so, out of desperation, that's why Colin did the only thing in his power he could do...protest by a means with which it would draw attention to our cause which is, "please stop killing unarmed/innocent black men!"
Like I started out saying, I love my country and there is no other place I'd rather live....Let's all live together in unity with love being our guide so, we can have a peaceful end to this violence.
I'm not trying to start any trouble, I'm just speaking on the trouble
