Can't hunt them yet, but they are for certain there!

I edited this video down a bit to around two minutes. The bait was some hamburger and some rib bones. I just wanted to see what was roaming through the backyard at night. I'll keep baiting it right up until the last week or so of August (10 days before the season starts) to keep them moving through the area. After that it is going to be coonskin caps for Christmas!
The main game trail is behind that bush. You'll eventually see a possum depart in that direction. It leads over to a big culvert under the main road next to my house. It is like a possum expressway! :D
(My hides from last year were ruined when my deep freeze broke down without notice)

Yup their moving around there for sure. ;DEd

That is a great video! Thanks for posting. Squirrel season here in Tennessee opens within a couple of weeks and I can't hardly wait. Now, if it will only get cooler.

Just looked at the hunting guide, the season starts Sept 17th! I'm sure glad I didn't start blazing away on the 5th! TN needs to update their laws anyway. They are archaic. Raccoons and possums are ALL over the place in huge numbers. That is because folks don't run them with dogs that much anymore. Also the subdivisions are havens for them with so much urban sprawl.
We also need the private land laws like they have in some of the northern states where you can pretty much hunt when you like on private lands. TN is thinking about taking away game reserves! We are getting worse instead of better!
