The descriptions are a little goofy, but I would guess you'd be safe ordering the model number you want. XSG177 indicates a green stock in .177, and XSB22 indicates black in .22.

Except for the muzzle brake and stock inlays, it looks exactly like a Hatsan Striker 1000S (which is not a bad thing).

I just bought a VMX with the regular muzzle break and green stock in .20 off amazon for $144 and free shipping but I wanted .20 cal. The week before I got a refurb Striker 1000 Vortex in wood. Same basic gun. Muzzle break is a little different and the scope stop and holes are different.

I think all webleys are made in Turkey and China now.

Looks to me from the model #s that Amazon has the 2 rifles mixed up. I'm afraid if you ordered the .22 you'd get the .177 and vice versa (is that how that's spelled? lol) I see what you mean about the colors also.

I probably would've ordered one today in .22 if I knew which one was which since they have the model #'s and descriptions transposed. I tried to straighten it out via phone and 2 emails to no avail. Right now the only way to be sure you get the one you want would be to order both knowing one was going back. Lord knows I need another gun like a hole in the head.......... They're both right at $65 now. I got the Webley Spector when it was on sale there for $61 and after modifying the trigger I'm very happy with it--for the $$$.

FS still has a few Hat 95/.177 walnut refurbs for $83 shipped. IMO a much better rifle. So good I couldn't resist...I need more AG's to trip over...

I've never had a problem returning anything to Amazon. Call them and they will issue a prepaid shipping label. Talk to customer service and make sure they send you what you ordered, and at the correct price and shipping per the original order. I find them very easy to deal with.

I tried my best to inform them that the model #s/descriptions didn't match. A phone call and 2 different emails...... Told them that people were not gonna receive the correct rifle. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the model # with 177 should be a .177 & the other with 22 should be a .22. I considered ordering both (is that what you did?) knowing one would go back. Never considered the possibility that they'd both be .177. I was just interested in the .22. Sure glad I didn't order them! I would like to know what you think of them anyway.

No. found that photo on the UK forum iirc. all though the box says Hatsan USA it's not on their website. the rifle has a similar moderator. Has any one removed the end cap to access the baffles and barrel crown if need be.
