Does anyone know if the FWB 800 can have the power adjusted up a tad. The 800 Basic comes at 565 fps and the 800 FT Basic comes in at 900 FPS.   Can the standard 800 basic be adjusted up to say 700 FPS in a relatively simple and inexpensive manner? I would very much like to have an FWB as a general purpose rifle, plinking , Target and Light hunting , and the occasional  Field Target hunter class. But I would like a little more performance than 565 FPS. With the 2,500.00 price tag of the FWB 800 FT basic. The standard FWB 800 Basic is only 1,500.00 the extra 1,000.00 buys a scope and air supply. Any advice will be appreciated.

No idea if the power can be adjusted?

I have been recently looking at a future PCP and thought the Feinwerkbau 800 Basic Field Target Air Rifle would be very versatile, HFT, FT, Benchrest? Hunting if you could sling it?

I wish FWB would make a Hunter 800 like the new  ANSCHÜTZ 8002 S2 Black Air Hunter:

The  ANSCHÜTZ is sweet, but at only 580fps, not nearly as  powerful or versatile.

Exactly , which is why I thought if the basic could be increased slightly it would be a whole lot more affordable. I don't have any PCP's . This would be my first and in the event I don't really care for it I do not want to a 2,500 rifle and 1,000 air source. In end maybe there is just way around it. I have both Annie's and FWB in .22lr and love them both, just not real crazy about the air rifles costing more than an Ed Brown custom 1911. Thank you all the same for responding I will keep searching and hoping someone here will share some information one way or the other.

I do not have any PCP's either, any idea how difficult it would be to use a hand pump? I was hoping that would be a doable option.

IIRC, the FWB rifles have to be professionally tuned for higher power by Joe Korick.  http://korickdesigns.com/blank_004.htm
Send him an email to see if he can help you.  It is pricey, as I don't know of anyone but him that even works on these high-end target rifles, as FWB won't bump the power for you.

As far as the air source, the tank itself, the most I've seen is under $800 for a Great White, which is a great, ready to go tank that's brand new, from Joe Brancato:

There are other options, but under $800 gets you the largest available carbon fiber tank available.  You would of course, need a way to fill it.  If you have a source for 4500 psi fills, you're set.  If you want a compressor to fill the tank at home, there's a lot of choice there too.  There's a Shoebox, but that needs a secondary shop compressor- if you have one already, a Shoebox is a viable option.  There's also a few, albeit expensive, options in stand-alone tank compressors out there that will pump to 4500 psi:  Omega ($1795), Alpha90 ($1295), and some others for SCBA that are really really expensive (though, I don't know of anyone using one of those for airguns...)

The large tanks are all 550 ci internal volume; it is just a matter of applying the math that treats air as a real gas that delivers the 88 cu ft rating. In my 'Best of Bob' link folder I have saved a post of his that goes into this in detail...
