I have been using the Motor Guard in-line air dryers but they hold very little desiccant and are not designed to be re activated I ordered a quart of desiccant
ATD-7886 from ADT AIR which arrived today, I had 1-1/4" Schedule 40 PVC and fitting on hand along with the 7/16" drill bit and 1/4 " NPT pipe thread tap so I threw this one together.
ID is 1.380" X 12" length / 18 cu in - ( 10 fluid ounces) so should last many hours. I really need to pick up a PVC fittings which is threaded and a threaded cap so removing media for drying or replacement would be easier.
Orange device is a Motor Guard air dryer which has bronze filters to trap dust as well as color changing desiccant for a easy visual indicator.
PVC is rated at 370 PSI , shop compressor is 150 PSI max and I run regulated out put at 100 PSI for input to my ShoeBox Max.

Very nice. May build something like that for my compressor.

I think PVC is almost always labeled "Not For Use With Compressed Air". Just Google "PVC for compressed air". You have a potential fragmenting grenade there. I urge you to redesign with Copper or steel.

Thank you for the PSA post which may help protect others from unknown possible issues.
The 1-1/4" Schedule 40 PVC I used is labeled 370 PSI by the manufacture . Yes most PVC is listed for water use and in recent years furniture is being made from it also.
Yes there are some post of PVC failing when used as shop air supply lines and also post of it having been used for many years and still in service with no issues.
There are also videos of auto transmission cooler being used as air chillers for moisture removal , These are not rated for 100 PSI even are not rated for use with compressed air and most are aluminium which corodes easily.
Not saying two wrongs make a right just that I feel safe enough and
in my case mine will only be used while ShoeBox Max is running ,no long unsupported sections , not exposed to freezing temperatures during the winter, not sujected to the normal rigors of a shop air supply line.
There are also steel air tanks which have never been drained that are full of water, rust and way past their remove from service date. How many realize that at least some air compressor pressure tanks have only a ten year life span.
Just my opinion but I would be a lot more concerned about that large CF tank filled to 3K to 4.5K at a paint ball field on a compressor that is poorly maintained or even that one which serves as a rifle stock which one rest their check against during firing. .
