Oops the mag is not 100% as it should be, the tab that sticks out from the mag that prevents the mag from sliding into the breech too far is just not "fat" enough:
I did MacGyver a temp solution.... Now it cycles again...

Tolerances and fit seem to have been a problem for other airguns in the past so I guess the SPA pistol is one of them. If it is an easy permanent fix that would a good thing. Do you think that the vendor or a vendor will be selling parts like extra mags? Thanks for the info Bert

The factory confirmed regarding the mag:
we already find the problem for the magazine. the new magazine can be worked well.
so how about the magazine which you have right now, can it work normally.
if not ,please contact the next company (gun.cz) to get a new one, they have magazine in seperately.
(They can't watch Youtube vids in China)

while looking at videos on these I found this one. looks quite a bit like the CP1M ...
While I am not a pistol person, I figured I would add this to my ever growing collection. Wife is going to roll her eyes at me over this. I keep telling her that I will thin the herd soon.
Thanks for the link and information about it.

mine arrived (177 cal)
I am finding that with the single shot tray flat head pellets, hollow point pellets and any pellet with any kind of lip on it from the dye make it hang up when pushing with the probe. Nicely rounded ones like the JSB's seem to feed well.
I am not griping about it, just mentioning my experience to see if others have the same issue.
So far the H&N 8.18 and Meisterkuglen 8.2's shoot the best at about 16 yards. I am using open sights and with my eyes that is an issue however I am getting about nickel sized groups IF I exclude the flier in a 5 shot group. considering my eyes and open sights, I imagine with a scope or a better shooter with better vision you could probably outdo my groups. I have also only shot about 50 pellets though it.
If anyone has this issue and solved it, please let me know
I do not regret my purchase and it will likely become my short range starling gun. 4-5 FPE is plenty for 15 yard bird persting
