Aight Brian. After telling me to keep putting coats on. Thats what I've been doing since my last post here. I dont even know how many coats i got 7,8,9? Ive been keeping the pressure light. Wiping on with rag than hand rubbing. I got the colors matching pretty good too. Notice the puddy job on forearm? Should call crosman and complain since im still under warrantee. See if i can get them to send me a nice walnut stock. Well next step is going to be Tung oil. I hope they mesh together well.
Looks good! Now get to the enjoying it part!! CW
This is my 392, sanded off the old finish, reshaped the wood some, stained with brown leather dye, then used True Oil to finish. Cell phone picture does not show up real well.
Geez. I thought I was the only person, on earth, that used WD40and steel wool , on wood.
That Tung Oil - it go's over the stain/polyurethane ??
