Heflin, AL Match 12/13/14

How can you not want to come out to the range on 12-13-14    Our regular match got rained out last week, but no worries this week.  Should be around 40 for shooter's meeting at 9:00 and near 60 by the time we are done.  Winds promise to be light, sun plentiful, and will be nice and dry. 

I heard we even have freshly painted targets   

Maybe everyone will clear the course and the targets will still be pristine for January

So 5 brave souls took a chance that the sub 30F morning would warm up by shooting time.  Those 5 were rewarded with a near perfect morning for FT.  Mid 40s when we hit the woods and low 50s when we finished with nearly no wind.  Couple that with freshly painted targets and all was good.  While I don't have the scores, I know that Pete was on fire and pretty sure he cleared more lanes than he didn't (even cleared the standers with a 1/2 inch kill at 17 yards).  I had a good day and tied Walt though we shoot different classes.

The rest of the Atlanta crew were up in TN attending the nuptials of Dottie and David.  Congrats to the Double D couple.

Hope to see a few more out on January 3rd.
