I can't believe you tried to put a pig down with an AG. I like meat, believe in hunting and all that, but you gotta be humane. That kill sure sounded fun to finish...not...I guess when all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. So if all you have is an airgun, everything looks like a soda can? Can't roll my eyes enough.I think you need something bigger for pigs. .357 is a heck of a lot more like it.On the plus side, enjoy the bacon. Bacon is wonderful.
Do you have access to a PB? If not you should find someone that does or use a knife. Pigs have been killed in a humane way for thousands of years with a knife. Everyone has access to a knife. Your using the wrong tool for a humane kill in my opinion.

The right tool is the one that can get the job done. & Ron's tool of choice couldv'e gotten the job done. It was purely a placement issue, brought about by the difference in bone mass & density of two animals born 3 months apart. Nothing more.People think using a knife is "humane" when it comes to killing pigs. I always laugh when I hear this. Using a knife to kill a pig was never done to be considered humane. It's done for the sake of tradition. A stab to the heart & lungs with a blade twisting inside an animal could never be less painful than a full on solid blow to the brain pan with a ball peen hammer that shuts its brain down. But thats just my opinion
