looks like its supposed to be some sort of power adjuster. If it works like they show it should, it might be a nice convenient way to put an adjuster on an m-rod or p-rod.

I read that disclaimer & red flags went up immediately. though I don't own an m-rod, if I did this would be one aftermarket accessory I wouldn't be to eager to try. No point of origin/manufacturer info, & they state outright don't call them or expect your money back if something goes wrong.

I get that, but on the other hand, they have that disclaimer on pretty much every aftermarket mod item they sell. I wouldn't read into the disclaimer specifically on this item too much, take how you will the fact that it's on all their stuff though.

It's a Steve in NC product (same guy who makes their HDDs and regulators), using a vernier dial (100:1 ratio) to make very precise adjustments of hammer spring preload repeatable.... The idea is that you can reduce the preload as the pressure drops (and then later increase it) and thereby keep the velocity constant over a very wide pressure range.... If you record the positions for each pressure (number of shots) you can flatten and extend the bell-curve.... or at least flatten it....

I've never used one, but understand the theory.... I suppose if you spent enough time with one pellet and gun, and adjusted it after every shot to a table of positions, you could at least in theory end up with a completely flat velocity string over a wide pressure range.... Kind of geeky, and not for the guy who just want to shoot, but might have a use I suppose....

The device is super cool.  I don't think I'd ever use it but I could see how it would appeal to BR types that like to click things.

Careful, you may experience the ban hammer over there.... *grin*.... I assume it's because it "regulates" (ie adjusts) the velocity.... The only real problem I see is that you have to have careful records of the "adjustment number" and what pressure or shot count to make each change at.... Of course the narrower the ES you want, the more often you will have to adjust it....

It was more like being called a manual regulator. It's not all that different to what some might do with Talon or Condor power adjuster, just way more precise.

I guess if someone sorted and sized their pellets they wouldn't mind finding the sweet spot for every 2-4 shots and making a chart.

Disclaimer aside, I prefer to spend what little shooting time I have actually shooting, not fiddling with some knob & writing 80% of the time.
