Boosted Flying Dragon HPA pump

Well, if someone else has done it, they haven't posted about it.
I broke down and boosted my Flying Dragon pump.
Not as simple as the Benji pump, since the intake on this is through the handle.
Drilled and tapped 1/8 NPT brass nipple into the handle. Elbow down, 1/8-1/4 npt adapter to the air dryer (Northern Tool purchase). I use a lightweight super flexible poly air hose and don't even notice it.
Plugged the ends of the handle with 1/2" copper pipe caps. Drove them into the ends, slightly recessed. And then sealed them in with thin CA glue.
Running 22 PSI, I'm not too worried about anything blasting out. #005 o-ring on the top of each bolt for the handle And right now, just some black tape pinched between the handle and the pump acting as a seal there. Need to get some better seal material.
At most 1/2 as many strokes for whatever I'm doing. The key is to pause at the top of the stroke. Let the boosted feed finish pressurizing the 1st stage.

I was going to go through one end of the handle. Your design is very clean.

Genius!!!!
I was going to go through one end of the handle. Your design is very clean.
I made several trips to the hardware store with the bare handle trying to figure out the fittings to do just that. Always came out with just the handle since I could never find anything that I liked well enough.
I was into my tap and die set for a different project and noticed it had a 1/8 npt tap. BINGO!
Still working to seal the handle to the pump. It leaked so bad initially that boosting did almost nothing.
