Daisy 880 rebuild

I've got two 880's and I'm hoping to hear back from someone who has fixed a Daisy 880 with leaking seals. The replacement kits that I find on a couple of sites will cost over half the price of a new gun and almost as much as I can send the two I have back to Daisy for and they will repair or replace them for $35 per rifle including return shipping. The seal kits I have found at two different places replace valves and one other more expensive part. Has anyone done this repair successfully with just the seal and o-rings? I'm hoping to get the old girls up and running again for much less than around $30 per gun.

 my 880 out of the box would not hold pressure consistently. I was having to oil it every 2 days when using pengun. I would pump and before I could raise it to my face I would hear pssssssssssssss.

   I read the instruction manual and oiled it lightly with 30 wt nd as specified by Daisy. It has never leaked since. I now oil it every 500 to 800 shots. And not because it is leaking. But because I feel it needs it. I can leave it loaded and pumped for 8 hour stretches now and still at the end of the day hit my mark at 18 yards. So it now holds pressure as it should.

   If you have not tried using 30 wt nd try it. Less than $3 a quart at Wallyworld.

I recently ordered all internals for a early 881,valve included. I paid exactly 40 bucks with shipping included from JG Airguns. Turns out I didn't need the valve. The O-rings in mine are size #11 you can get a Menards. If your exhaust valve is good, the intake gasket should be all you should have to special order.

You can get o-ring #11 at Lowes as well as an assortment of other o-rings that will work.  They are in the plumbing dept and you can get a box of around 10 for $3.00

Update! The 30 wt non-detergent oil works miracles. I added a few drops to both of my 880's and it stopped the leaking on my newer one which originally prompted this post and my $15 pawn shop one which had not held air very well basically since I got it and now they both hold air great overnight. I added a few drops to both of my 880's and it stopped the leaking on my newer one which originally prompted this post and my $15 pawn shop one which had not held air very well basically since I got it and now they both hold air great overnight.
