HW95 vs. D34 for balance

I had a 34 and it was very nice, but quite front heavy. Is the HW95 or R9 like this too or does it balance better?
Thanks

Comparing my 34MPC to a Beeman R9, the R9 was biased more towards the butt than the 34, but the MPC is a notoriously nose heavy rig.
The R9 seemed like it rested well on the forward hand versus hanging heavy at the muzzle.

The HW95 is very will balanced it's not front nor back heavy. It's perfect. That's one reason why I prefer the HW95 over the D34.
Note: My HW95 doesn't have a muzzle weight or (*^%. For open sight shooting the HW95 is really perfectly balanced and accurate as *(&^.

Marc,
In another post you stated the 34 was a bit big and wanted a "Lighter alternative"...... It was suggested to you that you (again) consider the 50S.
http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=62187.0
I think it would be a great choice for you and you would spend more time shooting & having fun rather than buying and selling and yelling "NEXT!" It's much easier on the wallet to have one Great AG>
Get the 50S in .177 and call it a day.
HAppy Shootin!
Petey.
BTW: Get the Maccari kit for the 50's.......

Your are probably right Petey. I am tired of the buy and sell game. I just have been stuck on .22 cal. (even on my 30S). And I think to get the smaller guns to shoot how I'd like I am going to have to make the switch to .177.

In all my days I have never heard of the D34 as being big and heavy
Now if you were to come pick up my 56TH then you will see what big and heavy is for sure!
The HW50 I think would make for a excellent gun. Afterall if fits the three major catergories...............It's German for #1; It's German #2; and finally for #3.............It's German!

If your D34, is slightly nose heavy, just compensate for that in the way you hold the rifle, by placing the foward arm a little more forward to tip the scales as it were. My D34 Premium with its timber stock is NOT front heavy at all. It is very nicely balanced in my opinion - for me that is, and it's quite a lightweight rifle. Stocks will always make the difference. Now, if you want a real nose heavy German air rifle, try comparing the D34 to the D350 Panther with its lightweight plastic stock, making the whole rear end feel, well, light I guess. That means the front end of the gun is a lot heavier biased, I also guess.. Now you'll have something to moan at, but even then, I just hold the D350 in an according manner...
If you just want plain old HEAVY, try a Webley Domin8tor or the Hatsan 155 Torpedo (same thing). Your 34 will now feel like a feather after lifting one of these. My Domin8tor, scoped with a Leapers 4-14x50 weighed over 11 lbs. Not front heavy, just HEAVY - fullstop...
All things in perspective...

you can always add a weight to the barrel and hold it for a while then take it of, like a donut on a baseball bat. ; )
