My .177 and .22 CFX are without a doubt consistently my most accurate GAMO rifles,  however, that being said I also have to say that my other GAMO rifles are darn close.   All my GAMO rifles are the "older" rifles from before they switched over to their plastic polymer encased barrels so I can't comment on the accuracy of the "new" breed of GAMO's,,,, but those "old" ones sure were shooters after a little TLC   :)

I think I would have to go with the 126 target rifle, especially if it had the LW barrel on it.

This is my collection two 126's one a Daisy, CFX .177, Gamo Bone Collector Sling Shot with light and Lazer,  not shown recent addition CFX Royal .22 Tuned.

The older model Shadow is a good breakbarrel. Same with the Hunter series.  Add the GRTIII trigger and you'll get the most from them.

Nice collection of Gamos, DT.  I didn't know Gamo ever produced a match rifle.

I am looking possibly for a little lower cost gun than my HW30S, with a little more power.  I really like the looks and weight of the Bone Collector Bull Whisper IGT, but don't want a scatter gun.  What do you think of this Model?

My son's Titan GP is NOT a gun I'd buy again for multiple reasons.

I think it will do.  Just clean the barrel and shoot a few groups as soon as you get her to make sure you didn't get a lemon.  Order from somewhere with a good return policy and you are good to go. Hard to beat Gamo for lightweight hunters.  I want a classic Whisper for myself.

My experience with new, plastic gamos is not favorable. Especially if you have a hw30, you are likely to be very disappointed with any recent gamo. For an inexpensive break barrel that will likely have acceptable accuracy, look to a ruger air hawk or an xs25 from mike mellick. JMHO

These Hunter 220 refurbs are a good buy (at $85) in the old steel and wood, quality Gamo.  Again, investing the small amount of money and time, in Bob's drop in GRTIII trigger brings them way up. Cheap package for a 14fpe hunter.

Well - maybe I'll be happier dropping $379 on a new HW50S than $200 on the Gamo.  A year from now I won't remember the cash, but I'll still have the HW.

Thanks.  It is a very interesting rifle.  I beleive it is more air pressure rather than spring power.  When you pull the side lever back you can let go of it, no pressure on it no bear trap.  Load pellet and when you close the lever it charges the chamber.  Really unique and accurate.

I went that route, got the JM drop in tune kit/lubes, downloaded the info. from the GTA library. Deburr, crosshatch, GRTlll trigger blade, lube properly as per instructions. Put a BSA 3X9X40AO from Natchez, Leapers Accushot 1 piece high mount. The Gamo 220 is now smooth as a babies butt and very accurate.

;) My Gamo Whisper .177 shoots consistent 7mm 5 shot groups at 10 yds when I do my part and it is one of the of the new plastic polymer covered barrels. I will not knock the gamo rifles could they be better probably but so can any other rifle out there. From all the posts I have read
there are very few pellet rifles being made today unless you can afford to pay for a custom will benefit from a little TLC from the owners when first purchased.

Hi folks.

This is my first post ANYWHERE so I may not be doing everything right.  I watched a video on UTube with a guy whose name I can't recall, although I've still got it in my favorites.  He demonstrated a shooting method he called, "The Artillery Hold."  He says not to try to lock the Gamo or any heavy recoil springer down when you hold it, but let it float and that vibration won't be transmitted clear to the muzzle and fling the round.  I haven't tried it yet, but my son just got me one of the polymer wrapped Shadows and I couldn't get a grouping to save my soul.  Of course I was trying to hard to hold the thing down thinking that I shouldn't let it vibrate on discharge.  I haven't tried the Artillery Hold yet, but the theory makes sense.  I'm a guitar/banjo player and know a little something about waves and nodes and such involved with music theory.  So it seems reasonable.  Anyway, I'm going to try sending a few rounds downrange that way to see if there's anything to it.

The Artillery hold is very effective, as you will soon find.  Tom Gaylord is an elder in the world of airgunning, and did a great video on it...if that's the one you are referring to.  If not, try to look his video up.   Anyway,  learn the Artillery hold, and trigger control and you'll see some Good Shoot'n.

My CFR. is tack driver accurate with the consistency of the gas ram. If you do get a gamo you should also get a CDT trigger.

Tuned Gamo CFR with N-Forcer ram and GRT IV trigger(tuning done by Al, AKA OleTomCat). Love the taste of squirrel and rabbit.
