that looks to be a springer.  if your not versed in rebuilding them and have hte tools (IE spring compressor, etc) then give the user on here SHADOW a PM.  Ed is the best tuner in business today.  he learned from the best, and follows the best practices.  the rifle will shoot better than it ever has when he is done with it.

Another reason i say that is... with a gun like that... you may not be able to get a spring/seal... where as Ed/Shadow, will have the means to have a seal made, or alter another seal... and springs he could find one to work...

May want to just take it apart and post picture and measure the I.D. of the cylinder.  Also may want to give dimensions of the spring while you are at it.  Hopefully the seal is not melted like some of the older guns if it has a synthetic seal.  Not familiar with the S1 if it has a leather seal.  If it does may just need to be oiled.

you can also check the breech seal... if its shot, the pellet won't move... try laying a single ply of toilet paper over the joint of breech and barrel, fire the gun (in a very safe di rection of course) and if the tissue paper goes flying, bad breech seal... could be the cause.. and those are super cheap.

How do you word it... "Air Guns" or "AirGuns"?
