What do you want to know? Its a Webley Vulcan, .22 caliber, its a 12 fpe rifle more or less, has a synthetic seal and an adjustable trigger. Vulcans were made from 1979 - 2000 in various forms. The same action was updated and used in the Webley Tracker and the newer Xocet/Stingray rifles. The Vulcan was also the basis for the Beeman C-1. Webley bluing has always been top notch, better than most, and really only FWB ever came close to the same quality finish.

I have to agree with arathol on his take Howie. Excellent build quality and finish. I own a Webley Vulcan and have to say they are quite nice. Would you like to sell or trade Howie?....:)

I had a webley vulcan in .177 and i second that. very nice bluing (deep, very theobenesque) and a solid locking mechanism. Also had the synthetic seals and shot meisterkulgens at 810 fps average. the c1 uses its action but has a shorter barrel. I traded mine for a BSA mercury deluxe. As an interesting note, i shot a webley vulcan carbine in .25... nice little rifle! mine was 90% and ipicked it up for 300 bones. but i think i caught a break since i have seen them for mid 3s.

Wow, I don't know how I missed this one! I know it's an old thread but I couldn't resist posting something. The quality is not only better than most - it's actually better than ALL except the Theobens. The English really know how to make guns! These old Webleys have fetched a high premium lately. I've seen one go on the yellow last year or so for over 500 smackeroos (without scope). Mine is on it's way back from getting the works, full tune (trigger and all) including a Theoben Gas Ram.
I would love to have a .22 cal version of the MKIII Carbine (last known Vulcan) but sadly only the .177 was imported in the U.S. as the Beeman Bearcub. Maybe someone has one they'd like to sell? ;D
I will post some Chrony results on another thread I started when I get mine back but it's going to hit about 15fpe with the ram upgrade.

While on vacation in England/Oxford I found a practically nib .22 Vulcan online, always wanted one, it seemed like a it would be a problem bringing it back to the states or having it shipped here. Apparently the Vulcans were early versions of Stingrays and Xocets. I have a Webley Air Rifle history book at home. When I get home I'll try to scan the Vulcan pages and post them if that helps. BTW let's see some photos.

Here's a couple of pics (I had to find some that weren't posted already). One is from last Winter of me shooting something out in the yard. These pics are older, before the ram, tune and new eyewear. I will post a link to the other thread I started already on this rifle. I plan on doing an update with new pics and Chrony results accuracy tests, etc.. A full range report ;)

BTW, I was looking through my paperwork (I'm the original owner) and I still have the receipt - the inspection report says it's a "select" condition stock, hence the nicer looking wood on her. Also of note, it has the "Scope Angle" box checked, this is probably why this rifle does not have barrel droop.

Sweet, carbine too! I've always had weakness for carbines! Looks to be in near perfect condition for it's age.

Sorry, it's not near perfect...
It's absolutely perfect! ;D

Like I've said on another thread somewhere, this carbine is exactly the size of a modern R7. Only difference is the Webley is of higher quality (sorry, German gun fans :() and it's twice the firepower (putting it past the R9 too!).
This really is a NASTY little gun.

Just for kicks I'll post pics of the R7 next to this carbine for size comparison when I get it back.

1000 pardons, your right its absolutely perfect! I'd like to see the comparison between the R7 as well. I'm sure your not offending any German air gun fans by saying the truth!

Truth be told, my friend....I absolutely LOVE German guns! I own several not by accident and will not part with any of them. I'm just telling it like it is.

1000 pardons, your right its absolutely perfect!....
;D ;D ;D
I'll try and get some really closeup shots to prove that I'm not pulling your leg. ;)
