« on: February 25, 2012, 01:53:42 AM »
1st are these the same guns? with the mod 125 in 25 cal being on sale on pyramid i was wondering could any 1 tell me what to expect if i put a 19 x 125 kaller yellow ram in it. i am trying to hold out for the 135 or 155 underlever both with bigger swept volume. but i have the itch money burning a hole in my pocket. i have herd that the 135 will not be here in 22 cal till june. can someone speculate what the 125 in 25 cal will do with this ram pellet weight vs fps vs fpe thanks

The Hatsan Mod 125 and the Walther Falcon Hunter are the same guns internally. The only differences are cosmetic; as in the stock, optics, trigger, SAS System, bi pod, muzzle break, etc.

Let me tell you this though... The stock on the WFH is the worst stock ever. Believe me when I say i've had better plastic from Mc Donald's happy meal toys!

Yes the stock on the WFH is BAD!!Mine broke after maybe 50 rounds up at the barrel pivot area. Sent the gun back and received a new stock which has now cracked at the rear trigger screw. I plan on making a wood stock this fall when I figure out which mill I want to buy, but unless they have fixed the stock issue (mine is a year old) beware of problems.

Yes, those have nicer, thicker stocks. Picture the same consistency as a Gamo, or Crosman Phantom, or Nitro Venom.

Of course everyone sees things differently but personally I am thrilled with my WFH(.25), The stock isn't of the highest quality maybe, but this newer design is holding up fine, the rest of the gun seems very well made and ....here's my favorite 3 things. Extreme power(a true30ftlb springer), very very accurate(amazing for such a powerful springer) and finally,, its smooth to shoot,, pleasant to shoot actually. It was a pleasant suprise and I think you'd love the gun smokey, so long as the size/cocking effort didn't pose any trouble. I liked my. 25 so much that when I recently was shown a deal on a .22 talon, I snatched it up, 2 of these guns isn't to many: )

I like my wfh too, very accurate when the scope was working. 5 shots under .40 ctc 20 yards. It is really loud though, and the stock hasn't broken yet, but I still think it is cheap.

When I first got the FH, I was amazed at the forearm of the stock, which when squeezed together at the point where the stock splits to allow for the cocking arm, will bend easily... wow a flexible stock lol, but, knock on cheap plastic, it hasn't cracked. This flexible material might also play a role in reducing felt recoil.  Like your idea of having a wood stock made, the stock seems like the only weak conponent of the rifle. J

I really like my wfh its a powerful and accurate springer...the trigger is very nice also, the stock is very noisy but you can take the buttpad off drill a hole under fill with foam and makes a huge difference.

Say what you want about how bad the stock is. YES I have seen better stocks. All and all the stocks have been improved. Still not as solid of a feel as I am use to but still improved. The WFH of all my WOLF GANG is one of the best. Replaced a old Beeman duel cal. with this gun. Really and in vestment looking back. NO problems out of the box and the only gun that I have not had apart. I have been through many guns in an effort to COMPARE TO THIS GUN. Only problem was the Walther scope which died and put a Leapers on it and have not looked back. I own 3 Leapers now and they are all on the mag. guns. Great HOBBY!!! I still say you have a good gun in the newer Walthers prior to the Hatson coming. Got to have just as much class as them and POWER. Got to say that I am deep in the RWS 350'S. Easy to work on and a challenge to shoot as other guns are. The 350 is not a starter gun. They all have their own characteristics. The Walther is a great gun and I have to say I like the NP vs THE SPRING.

Yep, i have no intention on taking my wfh apart again , i was very skeptical on the purchase at first, then after looking at very closely decided to take the gamble, and what a good choice now im using my center point ir 4-16x scope, with leapers 1" high 1 peice mount lapped properly and a very expensive tactical picatinny barrel mount rail for my xenon mini light..... Now is my second favorite gun besides my 17 hmr , but after some more break in time might bump the stainless varminter out , love the wfh.
