Well, my Puncher Breaker broke

I got my Kral Puncher Breaker .22 a couple days ago and absolutely love this airgun. Moreso than the Talon SS I got a week before.
I got around 7-9 12 shot magazines through it without a hitch. Topped it off today and shot one magazine, then moved out to 50 yds. Two shots later I could hear my pellets hitting, but they were no longer on the target. Also, there was a slight delay before the thwack. I got my chrony out and velocity had dropped by 300fps.

The air pressure needle hadn't even moved. It was still on 3000psi. From shooting yesterday it should have been at least halfway to the first mark. I shot some more and fiddled with the power adjustment knob, which doesn't appear to do anything.

Looks like a call to PA is in order tomorrow, but in the meantime, does anyone have any ideas what might have happened? It went from shooting great to this. Something must have let loose suddenly. I hate to send it in if one of those O rings simply needs replaced or it's something simple.
It did come with a bunch of O rings, but the manual might as well be for a Chinese quadcopter. It really tells you nothing.

Doing some research, the Europeans report that Kral has a history of issues.
That info kept me from buying one myself.

I figured Turkish firearms are generally good, though a bit rough looking, so based my decision on that and PA's video. Not smart I know.

I just shook it (uncocked) in different directions and do not hear anything rattling around.

maybe the valve stem bent causing shorter duration, or the hammer spring snapped>? im trying to think.. did the oring come off the probe causing a blockage ??

The O rings are still on the probe.
"Assuming" the power adjustment works like others I've read about, by adjusting the hammer spring, that might be a possibility. The knob has tension on it, but moves easier than it did. It can spin/rotate completely around in circles. It's not limited to the +- window you see.

PA will most likely have me send it back, but it's nice to learn what it might have been. I know nothing about airguns and how they work. Let alone PCP's.
Who knows, maybe their tech dept will walk me though checking that spring.

yep.. describe the issue , maybe they will simply have to mail you a part, My guess is the nature of the warranty will dictate what they will say ( e.g send it back and dont touch it

 Sounds like the velocity sdjuster knob has come loose from the shaft and the shaft has moved on it's own because the knob is no longer holding it in place. Maybe a set screw came loose or a pin inside broke. Just a guess.

I wonder what could be keeping the pressure gauge from moving. Unless it's simply that by using less air that my shot count has risen to a point 24 shots or so doesn't move the gauge.

Did you hook it to your fill tank or hand pump n check it with its gauge? Maybe your gauge on the gun is bad and your are out of air???

I have a carbon fiber tank. I filled it from that, topped it off like I'd done three times before.
The CF tank was just recently filled, so I know it's still close to its 4500psi capacity.

It sounds like he experienced one problem, the gun not cocking, then took it apart and created his own problems, lol.

Update: I'm sending it back. No surprise there I guess, but PA didn't even want to take a stab at troubleshooting it.
I was all set to simply ask for a replacement, as I'm hoping mine breaking was just a fluke. Then they told me 2-3 weeks to "process" after receiving it to issue a replacement gun, so I asked for a refund instead and purchased one from another vendor  Hopefully no problems with that gun.

I did notice in the description when ordering the new one that the .22 is supposed to get 970fps. I was getting barely over 800 with 15.9 pellets. I'm thinking the air adjustment or valve was screwed up from day one.

I appreciate all the feedback and help.

Interesting that PA would tell you 3 weeks processing after they got the gun back. Maybe they don't have any more in stock.
I sent my Marauder back and they shipped the replacement right away.....
Hum, maybe they are getting to big for their britches....

thats AWESOME , waiting 3 weeks to process an exchange sounds like a policy encouraging you to take a refund instead.. 3 weeks was nothing 25 yrs ago when I ordered slingshots  from a catologue But nowadays 5 days is too long lol
