Prod...another journey....

Here we go again. lol... So I found this well used Prod for $225 to my door so I couldn't pass it up. It's not perfect but not bad. I'll be modding just about everything as usual. We'll start with a few pics and work our way from there.

It has a Bushnell scope with missing turret covers, a bipod and a rather interesting check weld addition to the factory stock.







It's got a few bruises but that's ok. Most of these pieces will be replaced or covered in one way or another.

Missing turret caps.



The finish is finished on the air tube.



Bit of a scar on the forearm.



Interesting add on check weld apparatus on the stock.



Shot some strings and power is down from where it should be. 600 fps with 15.89 gr JSB's but that's ok too. We'll be making quite a few changes in the internals as well. It's completely disassembled on my kitchen counter right now. Parts are on their way. Let the fun begin!!

I love my PRod and everything I've modded on it. They are fun to play with and amazingly accurate for their size. Have fun!

Congrats on the PRod Terry, I love mine! Mine's all stock internally but I've added the RAI adapter with an AR stock and a LDC from Rocker1. Also a Bugbuster scope with an offset UTG mount. Very accurate little bugger!

Terry you'll love that Prod, they're super nice for hunting so light to carry hunting (if that's what you plan on using it for) and it will surprise you just how far out and accurate you can get with a 12" Barrel.  I just posted in the TSS thread asking Travis if I could expect to get the energy from the TSS like I'm getting right now with my Prod.

Thanks guys!! My plans are to keep it light and have it be that carry around weapon of choice. You know that I love the tactical style so it will have the full array of AR furniture. Probably to the point of overkill but hey, that seems to be my MO. My end goal is it being a mid power tune with keeping efficiency in mind for max shots. We shall see how all of that goes. More to come...

I do want to say/admit/confess that I am a certified forum junkie. I participate in several and have for many years. I find people to be very helpful and giving on most forums but GTA members have gone over and above with both advice and parts. I am very grateful for the members that have helped me here!! You don't really want that crummy gun.  In fact, I recommend passing it on to me for "proper disposal".  I'll even waive the disposal fee

Ha!! I'll probably go ahead and risk keeping it. I do appreciate the offer though. 

The cheek piece is very functional as a matter of fact. Clueless what it came from originally but it's at a nice height and is quite solid feeling. Lacks just a bit in ascetics though.

Do I smell an RTI stock adapter and AR15 stock install coming. I believe WAR has both in stock . FYI

Why, yes. You do smell those. Was able to purchase used from a forum member along with a TKO. I've also ordered the Magpul forearm, different Bipod and so on and so forth. It's a disease.
