(removed...nothing to do with the thread)
FYI, it's illegal to hunt anything with airguns in Pennsylvania.  I'm sure that nobody will mind if you're shooting rats, but technically, it's illegal.

I think he was just making the comparison to other odd laws, sure enough our country is full of them. Whats the deal with slingshots/airsoft? Seems like they are restricted in SO many places? Places you could have a .50 legally shipped to.. weird.

I believe these are restrictions on shipping just airguns, not that you canít have them.  Of course I could be wrong.

Thanks Jim for passing this along.. Maybe I should put it in GTA Library or somewhere where everyone will notice it. Any ideas?

Massachusetts has none of the listed shipping restrictions for air rifles, but Cabelas wouldn't send it to my door. I had to get it shipped to CT where I work, and bring it home myself.

This friend of mine lives in Arlington Heights, IL.  Not sure if that's considered Chicago or not - don't think so.
But as far as the vendor goes, it was Pyramyd Air - not exactly newcomers to shipping airguns.  But it was a .22 and it does shoot over 700fps so I'm guessing they're either correct or playing it real safe.

I too was surprised at all the states/munies banning slingshots.  I always wanted a nice slingshot as a kid.  I made my own out of a forked stick and an old inner tube.  Thinking back on all the trouble I caused with that thing I guess I'm fortunate my parents wouldn't buy me one.  I bought both my boys fine slingshots when they were very young and they never used them - go figure.
