Clever idea, Travis.... Wouldn't it be better to use an inner spring wound in the opposite direction so that it can't get caught on the outer one?.... Just a thought.... Or is it that way already, my eyes may be seeing it wrong.... Bob
There are forces required to knock open a standard valve and those forces can be achieved several ways. One is to use a heavy hammer and low spring pressure or a light hammer moving fast with more spring load and that's that. In less you completely redisign the gun and valving system your stuck with x energy needed to overcome x pressure. I'm currently using in my personal gun a light nylon hammer and incorporating this Ts Ff hammer and I haven't found a better way of doing it yet. Its simple and cheap and easy to replicate.
FWIW: I have done the spring in spring on the Mrod and didn't have jam ups. ie they were both wound same direction. I thought I would, but never happened. The inner was on a spring guide though. I was trying to replicate shorty's short stiff spring. The inner wasn't separately adjustable, it was just a 1/2" shorter because of the stock adjuster.

I never could get the SSG to work to the results I believe are exceptible for resale and thats why I never made one for the Prod but this is certainly a game changer for that little gun. Ill make up one for you If you wouldnt mind testing it.
