long range question

Sunday was my attempt at 100 yards. I have a Hatsan 125 at .177. I had been practicing with 50 yards shots and rifle works pretty well, but out to hundred it gets tricky. was holding over about 7 mils. here is my problem. I only have a 12x power scope and its almost impossible to see where I'm hitting with .177 pellets. I put splash targets around your long range target for adjustments, BUT if I do hit the paper target I cant see where. I'm basically going by the sound the paper makes. my questions is, can I put a splash target over your standard long range target if the target rings are the same? this would help me see the hits. here are some pics of my first attempt. I know I don't qualify yet, but I'm close. I think I can do it with a splash target. please advise

Looks to me you qualify as a Member, you only need 3 shots out of 5 inside or touching the 4 MOA ring (the "9" ring).... You don't have to use a NUAH target, as long as the one you use has a 4 MOA circle clearly marked (and a 2 MOA for Master).... The rules are here....
http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=100865.0
Fill out the information on the bottom of the target, and ask to apply for Membership....

Chris,
That is pretty awesome shooting with a .177 sproinger, especially with using those light alloy pellets! I was doing good to get a group like that at 25 yards with those things.
As for your scope, I qualified for Sharpshooter with a Leapers 4-12X44 SWAT scope on my air rifle. A higher power scope can help, but as long as you can repeat your point of aim, your point of impact should also repeat. I do have to say that a higher power scope does save some walking.

What good is 500+ FPE if you can't hit what you are shooting at?

Sight your gun in at 100 yrds. using the splash target then switch to the regular target. Your POI should not change and get a little exercise by walking out to see how you did.
I did not make the Rules for this match and if I di did I would have made the listed printable target mandatory just like all other GTA Matches.

thanks all for the good words. I did sight in at 100 yards. I first zeroed in at 50 yards, but there was a good amount of wind and those pellets are so "dang" light. below is my 50 yard target and some more pics of the set up. I will fill out the target today and post.
--ridge runner. that is actually the scope I have now. I can see the target just fine, its just the .177 pellets make such small holes its hard to tell where they are without a splash target. I was having a tough time until about my 5th shot where I actually saw the arc of the pellet in flight. from there it was much easier to make the adjustments. lol, holding over 7-8 mils is kind of ridiculous. seemed like it was almost a second delay for the sound of the hit too.
