I purchased a couple of reset-able targets from SteelPlinkers.com spring of 2015. Both took a pretty good pounding last summer from a 22 shooting 28 - 30 fpe and a couple of 20 fpe .177's. Other than the paint both look and work like the day they arrived.

This winter I had some construction going on and misplaced one of the posts that hold up the reset-able target. I emailed Ben to see how much a new post would be. Ben replied "just pay the shipping and I will ship one out."

Two days later I was shooting FT with a friend and I asked him how he practiced for FT. He said for off hand I use a dueling tree from steelplinkers. The next Monday I bought a dueling tree. The next evening Ben returned the money I sent for shipping the post through paypal.

The dueling tree arrived yesterday with the post for the reset-able target. It was very nice of Ben to send the metal post free of charge. I have and will continue recommending steelplinkers.com to anyone looking for targets that can take a pounding. The dueling tree comes with legs to hold it steady, no digging or putting posts into the ground. Its rated for airguns up to 50 fpe and a lot of fun to shoot.

I agree, some of the best targets available.  I have the dueling tree with 8 paddles as well as some of his spinners.  I would also recommend steelplinkers to everyone.

My wife won a dueling tree at the GTA airgun shoot. You won't hurt that thing with an airgun, that's for sure!  I laughed to myself the other day when I walked through a sporting goods store and saw a three-paddle duelling tree that paled horribly in comparison to the steelplinkers one...and the big-box model was $80!!!! 

Further, I took one of his resettable squirrel targets to an informal shoot last weekend. We shot at it all day with sub-20fpe guns and all it did was upset the paint a little, didn't do anything to the metal at all. 

I thought I saw Ben post that he might open a store. If he does, I can't wait to go back through that area for work (but it will probably cost me...)

Top quality products for sure. And one heck of a nice guy as well. I enjoyed meeting and chatting with him at the fun shoot. The stuff I bought from him will outlast me.

Another big thumbs up here for Steel Plinkers--I've used a quadrant target and also spinners for a few years now (2013) with many springer and .25 cal. 40 ft/lb. pcp shots from 35 yds.  I had an issue once with a weld and Ben was great, responded quickly with a replacement, no prob.  I re-spray my target bulls eyes weekly with fluorescent orange spray paint using a piece of cardboard for over spray backing. This thread reminds me that it's time to order a new target from Ben--the dueling tree looks really cool.

I purchased a quadrant spinner last year and this year a dueling tree at the fun shoot with the spinner on the top.

They look nice and seem solidly built.


I put a 1x3 over the front of my dueling tree to help keep from marring the finish.  If the 1x3 doesn't hold up well (I don't have any high power rifles) I will go with a 2x3 the next time.

Always like to see people comment on the targets.  Glad you all are enjoying them.


As for the store, yes!  I hope to be able to open in a couple months, still finishing paint/flooring currently.  I will stock all of my targets of course, but will also be carrying airguns, pellets and accessories!

I got a Dove/Pigeon knock down and a hand full of the spinners at the GTA meet.
And some real nice Starling ones also.
Almost felt like I was stealing them the price was so good!

You can bet I'll be getting more!! Would have bought a dueling tree but I waited to long!!

Met Ben for the first time at Fun Shoot 2016. I asked him to set up in the vendor area. I am VERY glad he did. Was great to meet him and see his most excellent products in person. And he was very gracious to donate several to GTA to raffle and as door prizes.
I hope to see Ben as a GTA supported vendor soon. We just need to get the time to talk a bit about it and just make it happen.
We are both extremely busy.
But I add my 2 cents that Ben is great GTA people and his products are top shelf!!!

What a treat to have quality targets to use.  SOme one off target makers in the past made items,  but the Quadrant, resetable and duelling tree set the standard.  Here is a few photos from a fun shoot last week here is Arkansas.  My 8yo daughter had her first airgun experience and is the Smiling brunette in the shooting line photo.  She shot and shot the squirrel resetable with a R7 and custom short stock.  Over 100 hits!!  Even helped me repaint them the next day!
