Your question is pretty general and I've tried to keep the answer the same way.
As far as support after the sale, warranty, manuals, and parts availability, there is no question in my mind - Crosman. If you can live without the manual, support from Flying Dragon is excellent - and you can even get a lifetime warranty. After market parts are readily available for Diana, Weihrauch, and Air Arms - none of which will require any trigger modifications.Manuals and parts breakdowns are available for many of the European rifles as well - as are parts, possibly not from vendor.I know nothing of parts availability or manuals for Hatsan - though the guns are popular. Your question is pretty general and I've tried to keep the answer the same way.
Also who you buy from, and do they hold manufacturers accountable. A family store vs general sporting goods store.
HTH! Welcome to the GTA Shawn!
Y'all,After searching the archives*, I can see there are a few threads or individual posts that touch on the subject of support. Most are in the form of a comparison of brand vs. brand (1-v-1) or discussion of the support (or lack thereof) of a particular brand. Factors are the availability of manuals, factory replacement parts, aftermarket replacement parts, and aftermarket upgrade parts. For example: some brands have full manuals available, some have parts diagrams, some have neither; some brands will sell you replacement barrels, some will not; some brands have aftermarket barrels available, others do not; some brands have both factory and aftermarket seals available, or have one but not the other. My goal is to be able to choose an air gun brand that I can work on and repair using factory or aftermarket parts and possibly upgrade with aftermarket parts. I want to stay away from brands that I'd have to send back to the manufacturer/rep to have it repaired once it's out of warranty. So, using a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best) in the form of factory & aftermarket*, what say ye on this subject? Any comments on why you chose your ratings are welcome. Thanks in advance,ShawnNote 1: This is not a query about specific combinations along the lines of "Does X make Y for brand Z?" (e.g. "Does CharlieDaTuna make a trigger for a Gamo Big Cat 1200?").Note 2: My main area of interest is moderate-cost springer/gas piston rifles. A $$$$ PCP would be nice, but I'd rather spend that same $$$$ on AFR 180 heads for my '57 Chevy. *Terms used: factory, aftermarket, support, manual, components, barrel, and trigger (in various combinations of three terms max per search)*I.E.: if Acme has moderate factory support and great aftermarket support, put down "Acme: factory 3; aftermarket 5. You can only get springs and seals from the factory, but can get aftermarket sights, seals, barrels, triggers, and stocks."
I was called a liar and screwed by Beeman's service center. Get this.......the store I worked was a Beeman 5 Star dealer, and I was the buyer for the hunting and fishing departments. If they screwed me, they would screw anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!
you gotta post a pic of your belair ( my favorite car ) please tell me it's got white walls and a white top, and some muscle under the hood. Anyway as far as the question I would have to say crosman hands down ,while there guns can be defective they still get 5/5 and5/5 I believe mac1 produces a competition air rifle ( correct me if I'm wrong ) so does he count
