Looks like global warming to me!I cant make heads or tails Tom
Or am I missing something?
What is needed is a hammer/trigger/spring design that eliminates the bounce all together
Bob, I'd agree with that.
Interesting thread. I used a pair of earphones and my laptop to take sound traces from the rifle's action and muzzle - thread is here: w w w.airarmsownersclub.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=39927&sid=e67cfaeddcb58598d69313ac85ba0010 (sorry I can't hyperlink being a noob)This worked surprisingly well (esp for such a budget setup) and allowed me to quantify the following:- Striker travel time- Exhaust valve duration - Shot development time (sear release to pellet exit at muzzle)- Striker bounce timings and frequencyThis was carried out at both ends of the rifle's operating pressure range; showing the difference in valve duration and striker bounce frequency, amongst other things.I'm still looking for ways to eliminate striker bounce and am convinced that the efficiency of the rifle (Air Arms S410) can be improved by 50% or more by doing this. Just need to figure out a suitable design
cloverleaf.... Thanks for the detailed explanation of your observations of the firing cycle in your AA410.... much appreciated....Bob
